Carol Hunter Inherently connected to spirit, nature and the well being of the world. Carol G. Hunter is CEO, and co-founder of FGI International, an Omaha firm specializing in leadership development for the global economy. FGI International, originally an organizational development consulting firm, worked for many years with major US clients in mergers/acquisitions, strategic restructuring, process re-design and performance management. Starting in 1991, Carol and her business partner, Tim Rouse, enlarged their focus to work with multinational corporations engaged in the global economy. Developing leaders in the US, Russia, China and India has become their passion and brings focused meaning and purpose to FGI International. FGI International celebrates its 30th Anniversary in 2013. Additionally in 1999, Carol and Tim founded FGISpirit, a Nebraska non-profit and 501(c)(3) organization. With the mission of increasing human capacity to understand, accept and make informed choices regarding leadership and life purpose, service and spirit, FGISpirit designs and provides unique offerings such as Bringing Spirit to Leadership, the Omaha and Denver Commons Cafes as well as Talking Together: A Global Business Forum in Shanghai, China for 105 business leaders from 7 countries. With Tim Rouse and Geil Browning, Carol is one of the developers and Directors of the Influence and Focus leadership programs offered through the Institute for Career Advancement Needs. Carol has served as adjunct faculty for the Center for Creative Leadership for over twenty years. In addition to CCL, Carol has served as adjunct faculty at Smith College, Moscow State University, the New Zealand College of Management, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, China University of Science and Technology and Jiao Tong University College of International and Public Affairs, Shanghai, China. Beginning her career with the US Department of Defense, Carol taught mathematics to military personnel for the United States Armed Forces Institute at Incirlik Air Base, Adana, Turkey. Carol, Tim and their FGI International colleague, Denny Aron, provided programs as partners with the Center for Business Skills Development in Moscow, Russia. The CBSD organization is part of the Thunderbird International Graduate School of Management. In 2005, Carol was an Honorary Chair at the Annual ICAN Women's Leadership Conference. As a wife, mother and grandmother, Carol respects and honors the multiple roles of women in today's world. Carol's husband, Terry, is active in his support and contribution to the work of FGI International and FGISpirit. Carol is a graduate of Arizona State University and has a Master's Degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She has also studied at the Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Additionally, Carol has pursued her interests in spirit and healing through study with Deepak Chopra, M.D., Caroline Myss, Ph. D. and Norm Sheeley, M.D., Ph.D. Carol's intention is to build community and contribute to creating a world that works for all. |

Tim Rouse Deeply committed to social justice and creating an informed global spirit. Tim Rouse is President, and co-founder of FGI International, an Omaha firm specializing in leadership development for the global economy. FGI International, originally an organizational development consulting firm, worked for many years with major US clients in mergers/acquisitions, strategic restructuring, process re-design and performance management. Since 1991, Tim and his business partner, Carol Hunter, have given priority to working with multinational corporations engaged in the global economy. Developing leaders in the US, Russia, China and India has become their passion and brings focused meaning and purpose to FGI International. FGI International celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2008. Additionally, Tim and Carol founded FGISpirit, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in 1999. With the mission of increasing human capacity to understand, accept and make informed choices regarding leadership and life purpose, service and spirit, FGISpirit designs and provides unique offerings such as Bringing Spirit to Leadership, the Omaha and Denver Commons Cafes as well as Talking Together: A Global Business Forum in Shanghai, China. Talking Together attracted 105 business leaders from 7 countries. In From 2005 - 2009, FGISpirit hosted an international Women's Leadership Program: Influencing the Global Economy, in Shanghai. Tim has served as adjunct faculty for the Center for Creative Leadership for over twenty years. In addition to CCL, he has served as adjunct faculty at Moscow State University, the New Zealand College of Management and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Along with Carol and their colleagues, Tim lectured at two Chinese Universities: Eastern China University of Science and Technology and Jiao Tong University College of International and Public Affairs. Rouse worked for many years in private industry, having responsibility for internal management consulting as well as human resources functions such as employment, organization development, affirmative action and career development. He is a past member of the Omaha City Council and a past two-term member of the Omaha Board of Education. Tim, Carol and their colleague, Denny Aron, provided regular programs in Russia as partners with the Center for Business Skills Development, part of the Thunderbird International Graduate School of Management. Rouse holds degrees from Creighton University and the University of Nebraska at Omaha and has done additional work at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. In 1992, he was honored by Creighton with the Alumni Merit Award. In 2005, Tim was awarded The "Tim Rouse 1st Annual Advocate for Women in Leadership Award" by the Institute for Career Advancement Needs in Omaha, Nebraska. |
